Brunch in Bordeaux

Bordeaux, France. Wine capital of the world, and famous for its architectural and cultural heritage sites. It’s also home to a lovely young lady named Camille Doremus.

If you’ve been watching our Instagram feed you may have noticed we’ve been sharing a couple of stories from I Am Camilicious, a food photographer and recipe designer based in Bruges, just outside of Bordeaux proper. Camille used to live in Australia a few years ago and worked in a bakery in Brisbane where they served – you guessed it – Bondi Chai!

Camille’s creations are absolutely mouth-watering, so when she reached out to us regarding a collaboration, we leapt at the chance.

Since then, we’ve been working closely with Camille to develop three delicious recipes that have been tried and tested. We spent an entire day in the kitchen, and put our diets on hold, to give each recipe a whirl…

Chai-Spiced Waffles

These tasty waffles can be made with either Ginger n Spice or Club Cinnamon and taste fantastic with caramelised banana, choc-chai sauce and sprinkled with chopped hazelnuts.

Vanilla Honey Crepes

Light and fluffy, these delicious treats are best appreciated drizzled with a choc-cinnamon sauce and topped with fresh fruits.

French Chai Scrolls

Like cinnamon scrolls? You’ll love these chai scrolls with raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting! This recipe can be made with Club Cinnamon or Ginger n Spice as well.

We loved them all, but our favourite (and Camille’s) was the French Chai Scrolls. There’s something about raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting that we just can’t say no to.
